Thanks for a good walk. You can read about our experiences on my blog

We are back in Malawi and just want to give you feedback on our hike from January. Well, in a nutshell, it was wonderful! Howard and I really enjoyed the daily walks. Each day was long enough to be challenging, but not too long to be disheartening. The lodges and hotels along the way were all good, some fantastic and some great! Food generally was super and the lunch packs sufficient and most welcome. We enjoyed walking unguided, we felt comfortable and confident. Your notes and map helped us. Once or twice we were not sure how much further or if we had taken a wrong path, but generally you can’t go too wrong. We did question the distances on the map – is that as the crow flies, because actual distance walked was quite a bit further each day. We loved that the route was, for the most, remote and uninhabited.
Just for your information we did the Oyster catcher trail at the end of our holiday, and although it’s the same concept, the two were quite different for us. For the Oystercatcher trail we walked in a group, with our sons which was wonderful and two others as well as with a guide, which was actually quite nice. At the end of a day’s walk, we were met and transported to our accommodation, which was the same for the 4 days. Good in that we didn’t have to pack up each day and also in that we knew what we were coming back to at the end of the day. The route was also very scenic and pretty, but there is development along most of that coastline.
All in all a wonderful holiday. Thanks so much.
Hi Helen, I just returned from our hike, and just wanted to tell you that it was fantastic! We really enjoyed it very much and it was so well organized! All the hotels put us up in their best rooms and food and lunch packages were great. The rooms in the Haga Haga do smell of the dampness from the coast, but therefore it was actually the best food on the track!
Many thanks for stunning vacation. We appreciate all your advice and professionalism

Dear Helen, We had a lovely time on our hike. It was so nice to have everything ‘work’. Transport collection, guides & porters, canoe crossing & ferry, hotels. Well organised. Many thanks.
Dear Carole and Helen, It’s a week since we returned from our wonderful hike. We would ALL just like to say a VERY BIG thank you to you and ALL those involved ( please pass on to ALL those ) for such a wonderful time. The organization was superb with all the transfers and accommodation etc. The hotels were lovely not to mention the FANTASTIC food and five course – WOW!!! After such a long walk it was so nice to have such a hearty welcome and refreshments.
The B&B in East London – The Meander Inn was so welcoming and had a lovely homely environment. We also a FANTASTIC meal at Grazies restaurant in East London which was booked and organized. William lent us his vehicle to explore East London which was a very generous gesture.Just to say thanks again and we will certainly recommend to all our friends etc.
Kind regards, Glynis
